14.3.2 Any-PHY Transmit Slave Interface
Figure 43 gives an example of the functional timing of the transmit interface when configured
as a 4-port Any-PHY compliant transmit slave. The Any-PHY master polls the ports in the
S/UNI-IMA-4 and the S/UNI-IMA-4 device responds by driving TPA. If the S/UNI-IMA’s
polled port is capable of accepting a complete cell, TPA is driven active otherwise the TPA is
driven inactive. Positive responses are recorded by the master and will eventually result in a
data transfer. Ports are selected for data transfers via an in-band address prepend in first word of
the data transfer. Polling continues independent of the data transfer state.
Data transfers are initiated with the assertion of TENB and TSX; they complete without
pausing.
