2W-Interface  
2. Read from control register  
The first control interface is a standard 2-wire serial  
interface. It uses an external clock and bidirectional  
data line. It allows read and write access to all internal  
registers as well as access to the user EEPROM. The  
interface consists of two pins, a dedicated input SCLK,  
the shifting clock and SDAT for bidirectional serial data.  
3. Write to EEPROM register (including block ac-  
cess and erase)  
4. Read from EEPROM register  
Control register access is shown in Figure 13 (write)  
and Figure 14 (read) respectively. If SDAT is 00 af-  
ter the start bit a write access is requested. The data  
word d(7:0) will be written into register a(4:0). Please  
note that a(4) is always 0 since the iC-TW2 only has  
16 addressable registers.  
The interface handles four types of access requests:
