S5320 – PCI Match Maker: PCI Configuration Registers
Data Sheet
This register is reserved for the manufacturer’s device
identification number (VID). VID numbers are
assigned to each PCI device manufacturer by an inter-
national organization known as the PCI Special
Interest Group (SIG). This ensures PCI device unique-
ness among all manufacturers. This register defaults
to AMCC's VID during power-on initialization. The
default value can be changed to another valid VID
when an external non-volatile device is used for boot
loading.
