10 VS1005 Peripherals and Registers
10.1 The Processor Core
VS_DSP is a 16/32-bit DSP processor core that also has extensive all-purpose processor fea-
tures. VLSI Solution’s free VSIDE Software Package contains all the tools and documentation
needed to write, simulate and debug Assembly Language or Extended ANSI C programs for the
VS_DSP processor core. VLSI Solution also offers a full Integrated Development Environment
VSIDE for full debug capabilities.
