The line BIP error (LBIPE[23:0]) bits represent the number of line BIP errors that have been
detected since the last accumulation interval. The error counter is transferred to the holding
registers by a microprocessor write to any of the RRMP counter registers or the S/UNI-2488
Identity, and Global Performance Monitor Update register.
