MAXPL[15:0]:
The Maximum Packet Length (MAXPL[15:0]) bits are used to set the maximum packet
length. Packets larger than this length are marked with an error. The packet length used
here is defined as the number of bytes encapsulated into the POS frame, excluding byte
stuffing and FCS bytes.
The maximum packet length supported by the RXFP is 65534 bytes (0xFFFE).
