Another example of the placement of tributaries assumed in AU4 mode is
illustrated in Figure 14. For simplicity, this figure shows the frame on the OD[7:0]
bus when the STM-1 (STS-3) interface mode is enabled. In this case the
outgoing VC4 is locked to an active offset of 522 with respect to the outgoing
transport envelope frame. This example illustrates the case where the VC4
carries TUG3s that are all configured to carry TU3s.

Yet another example of the placement of tributaries assumed in AU4 mode is
illustrated in Figure 15. For simplicity, this figure shows the frame on the OD[7:0]
bus when the STM-1 (STS-3) interface mode is enabled. In this case the
outgoing VC4 is locked to an active offset of 522 with respect to the outgoing
transport envelope frame. This particular example assumes a snapshot of the
last frame of the tributary multiframe when the V4 bytes are present. This
example illustrates a complex case where the VC4 carries TUG3s and where
TUG3 #1 carries a TU3, TUG3 #2 carries TUG2s that are all configured to carry
TU11s, and TUG3 #3 carries TUG2s that are all configured to carry TU12s.
