2.2 Frame Buffer Output Function
This IC has a frame buffer output function that uses frame memory. This function enables data output by a Sync.
signal generated from the internal Sync. signal generator or by an externally input Sync. signal.
Through the use of this frame buffer output function, the following four modes of operation are enabled: External
synchronous frame buffer output, input vertical synchronous frame buffer output, asynchronous frame buffer output,
and frame-trigger-synchronous frame buffer output.
The use of the input vertical synchronous frame buffer output function allows a time base corrector function to be
configured; the use of the asynchronous frame buffer output function allows a frame time base corrector function
(standardization of video signals) to be configured.
In addition, by combining multiple ML87V2107 devices, a multi-channel frame synchronization function can be
configured by a combination of asynchronous frame buffer output and frame-trigger-synchronous frame buffer
output.
2.2.1 Frame Buffer Output Mode
In frame buffer output mode, the four submodes listed in the table below can be set through the external setting pins
(ASYNC, INT) or the internal register (IAYSNC, IINT) setting.
This mode concerns the Sync. signal generation mode, which is described later in Section 3. So see Section 3 for
Sync. signal generation.

2.2.2 External Synchronous Frame Buffer Output
In external synchronous frame buffer output mode, data is output from this IC by external OVS, OHS, and OCLK
inputs.
Only the 625/50Hz 2:1 and 525/60Hz 2:1 Sync. signals are supported. Data output is enabled by a Sync. signal from
the external Sync. signal generation circuit.
This mode does not support 8-bit output or ITU-R BT.656 output mode.
