PHY Mode Unmanaged
In PHY mode unmanaged, the Virtual PHY is accessed via the external MII management pins. The
Port 1/2 PHYs, SMI slave, and the PMI are not used in this mode.
The Virtual PHY interface is accessible via the EEPROM Loader. Refer to Section 8.2.4, "EEPROM
Loader," on page 113 for additional information.
Figure 9.4 details the MII multiplexer management path connections for this mode.
