The controlled output signal (COUT) is a
software programmable output that is controlled
by the COUTx register bit associated with each
tributary.
In outgoing byte interface mode (OBMODE set
high), COUT is synchronized to the OD[7:0] bus.
In floating mode, COUT contains valid data only
for bytes in the VC3 or VC4 virtual container(s),
or the STS-1 synchronous payload envelopes.
Its contents should be ignored for bytes in the
transport overhead. In locked mode, COUT is
set low for transport overhead bytes. COUT is
updated on the rising edge of SCLK.
In outgoing nibble interface mode (OBMODE set
low), COUT is synchronized to the OD[3:0] bus.
In floating mode, COUT contains valid data only
for bytes in the VC3 or VC4 virtual container(s),
or the STS-1 synchronous payload envelopes.
Its contents should be ignored for bytes in the
transport overhead. In locked mode, COUT is
set low for transport overhead bytes. COUT is
updated on the rising edge of NSCLK.
