‘0’ when the modem is not initialised.

Allows configuring the digital I/O as input or as  
configuration output. Each I/O is independent of others and is  
(J2-3 to J2-6) represented by two bits of that register.

Bits to 00 => I/O port equivalent to digital input (default value)  
Bits to 01 => I/O port equivalent to digital output  
Bits to 10 => I/O port dedicated  
Bits to 11 => Unused value  
E.g. S260= 00000100 = 4 means: J2-1, 3 and 4 configured as input,  
J2-2 configured as output.
