remaining 16 are short cycles. For the nominal frequency in low resolution
mode, the synthesis period is comprised of 64 cycles, 63 of the cycles are long
and the remaining 1 is short. In order to alter the frequency the number of long
cycles is increased or decreased according to the frequency select value. The
resultant frequency is calculated using the following equation:

19M + 18N
M = # long cycles
N = # short cycles
Table 9 shows results of this calculation for various values of frequency select.
