Tracking Generator or Independent Signal Source
The independent source or tracking generator is included with either spectrum analyzer option. The source can be used in
continuous wave (CW) or stimulus/response (S/R) mode. In CW mode, the source frequency is independent of the receiver
frequency. The source can be tuned to a frequency that is different from the receiver. In stimulus/response mode, the
source operates the same as a traditional tracking generator - the receiver tracks the source.
