TEMEX’ success in ferrite m aterial and ferrite com ponent m anufacturing is due largely to our approach
towards com puter-aided engineering design and advanced m anufacturing technology (num erical
controlled fabrication).
Low-insertion loss and high isolation are not the only criteria to consider when designing junction
circulators. Broadband, high power handling capability, low 3rd order interm odulation products and
low RF leakage are also im portant.
TEMEX’ R & D team s developed new m aterials and technologies, thereby increasing the average
power handling for m ost of the junction circulators. Over the past years, CW-power handling has
tripled.
Three-port junctions are available in T- or Y- configurations in the m ost popular waveguide standards.
Circulators can be cascaded to form four- or five-port devices.
Water cooling is required on several of the high-power devices.
When size is critical, TEMEX supplies com pact and m iniaturized isolators. They work on narrow-band
and low-power applications of up to 10 W m ean power.
Y-junction circulators are either cast or m achined.
Options such as direction of circulation, frequency range, tem perature range, and m agnetic and
electrical shielding are available upon request.
